About

Housing Savannah is a local non-profit that aims to solve the affordable housing crisis in Savannah, Georgia. Housing Savannah tasked SCADserve, a collaborative class project,  to pitch two new design proposals. Together, we came up with the question, how can we develop a comprehensive brand strategy that amplifies their education, advocacy, and fundraising efforts?

Purpose
The Build for Better identity is rooted in Savannah’s historic grid system, reflecting its structured but adaptable nature. The brand maintains those values by expanding across print collateral, digital,  and environmental design. Posters and print reflect the grid and squares of Savannah, and bold typography acts as building blocks to affordable housing. Our interactive elements honor the “ever-changing” housing challenge, emphasizing change in housing situation, and strong layered typography emphasizing stability.

These visuals enforce our tagline “The Blueprint for Affordable Housing” by reminding our viewers of Savannah’s roots and Build for Better’s initiative to make a change towards inclusive and affordable housing.
